Prested Hall is a beautiful, privately owned, 15th-century country manor house, positioned at the end of a tree-lined drive in 75 acres of gorgeous Essex parkland. Prested is yours and yours alone on your big day. Prested has 14 elegant bedrooms with fine period interiors, 6 serviced apartments and is naturally the first choice for many couples from Essex, Suffolk, and beyond. All of our reception rooms and our delightful waterside gazebo are licensed for civil ceremonies. So whether you are looking for an alfresco summer ceremony on the lawn or an intimate winter ceremony in our warming oak-paneled room, Prested has something for all. Burgh House is a beautiful Grade-I listed Queen Anne mansion house, nestled in the picturesque, cobbled streets of Hampstead Village, only moments away from the expansive tranquillity of Hampstead Heath. The House was built in 1704 and retains many of its original features, including fireplaces, wood panelling and a beautiful barley-twist staircase. With 300 years of history, Burgh House's beautiful, panelled rooms provide a unique and elegant backdrop for weddings and receptions. You have a choice of two characterful rooms for your ceremony: our traditional Music Room with baby grand piano for up to 70 guests, or our Library which is perfect for intimate ceremonies of up to 15 guests.

About The Venue We are a unique 17th century 15 bedroomed hotel situated directly opposite Warkworth Castle, and overlooking The River Coquet. We are licensed in our Castle Restaurant and Sun Lounge for ceremonies, so your whole day can be held under one roof. We offer exclusive use and have on site parking. Our Wedding Coordinator Zoe is on hand to guide you through your planning and will look after you on your Big Day to make sure it is truly magical.

Exclusive Use Cheadle House Victorian Mansion House

As you approach the wedding venue down a quiet country lane, you are greeted by a collection of Sussex flint and brick buildings as well as the main farmhouse. Entering through an iron gate beside the gatehouse, the driveway takes you past the Farmhouse and across the grounds to the front entrance of the reception barn. As soon as you enter the barn, you are hit by the “Wow Factor”. The whole room is swathed in beautiful ivory pleated marquee drapes with swags and tails. The east wall has windows overlooking the rolling fields and woodland where horses and deer roam freely, while the integrated raised dance floor and tall central pillars exude atmosphere, creating a sense of grandeur and space.
