My husband and I got married here in September 2023. We initially found the venue whilst trawling through google and it immediately caught our eye. Upon our initial viewing we fell in love with the gorgeous farm and surrounding landscape. Natalie, our wedding co-ordinator, was beyond helpful and made the whole process so easy and as stress free as possible.
The food tasting we went to a few months after choosing the venue made for some very difficult decisions, all of the food was amazing and I loved that it was locally/home grown.
We opted to stay at Old Great Marlborough, which is owned by Wild by Nature. It was the perfect size for 20 of us, and was in an idyllic setting just inside of Wales. The house itself was gorgeous and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be surrounded by friends/family throughout. We spent all of our time outside enjoying the tennis courts, bbq, hot tub and massive grounds. It definitely made the day feel so much more relaxing and we were all able to get ready together which definitely lessened some of my nerves.
The set up day and our wedding day went by so smoothly, all thanks to Natalie and the staff at the venue who were so welcoming and made sure everything went by without a hitch. Our wedding day was beyond anything we could have dreamed of and I hope the few pictures I add will do it justice. All of the photos are from our amazing photographer Che Birch-Hayes. The food and drinks were a big hit, the rhubarb mules, pavlova and canapés, as a whole, are still talked about 6+ months on! The venue amazed everyone we spoke to and lots of people said they had no idea that such amazing countryside was nestled there. The weather was perfect and we spent the day outside in the sun and all evening dancing the night away with good food and drinks. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
