The best day!!!
I couldn’t recommend more!! From our first meeting right up to the big day, the team were amazing! Amy was always on hand to answer questions, calm me down when I panicked that I’d forgotten something and helped me to pick colours for my tables and chairs! The food was amazing, we opted for the carvery as a wedding breakfast and the had the hog roast for the evening! The team were calm, cool and collected the entire day and everything ran like clockwork. My husband planned a surprise for me and Amy helped him sort it so it’s not all about the bride.. honestly was the best most memorable day ever and that’s all down to the Lake!!

We struggle to find the right words that can describe The Lake at Barston as a wedding venue, so we will just go with 'Perfect' in every single way.
From our very first meeting back in 2019 through two Covid-19 enforced rescheduled dates to our actual Wedding Day in September 2022 the process was professional, smooth and stress free.
Amy our Wedding Co-Ordinator was incredible, she went above and beyond many, many, many times listening to our thoughts and concerns, pointing us in the right direction, suggesting other ideas and generally putting us at ease. She knows her job inside out and together with her trusted team can modify and rectify any problems/late changes that arise without fuss.
The setting up day was unbelievably calm and a real settler for us ready for the next day.
The day of our Wedding went perfectly as planned, Amy and her team controlled the whole day faultlessly. everything ran smoothly, room looked fantastic and the transition from Wedding to reception layouts was seamless. The food was amazing (Carvery) laid out, served and collected perfectly.

We highly recommend The Lake at Barston to anyone looking to book their wedding, it is an incredible venue with lovely views, rooms, food and staff that genuinely care for the services they are providing.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

We booked with the Lake at Barston and from the very first day we could not have asked for more from Amy, she was just fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, she helped advise us on what to do when and her experience really shone through. On the day of our wedding she handled absolutely everything and our day transitioned without a single problem. All of the staff were helpful and friendly and looked after us with a smile. So many of my guests commented afterwards how great everyone was - which I think goes to show how exceptional everyone was; I find people only tend to tell you their opinions when they have had a bad experience! Oh and the food was top notch! We opted for a three course carvery - who doesn't love a carvery?! It was so reasonably priced and our guests were all left well fed and satisfied. I can't recommend Amy and the team at The Lake at Barston enough - you will not be disappointed!

We couldn't of had a better day!! From our first meeting with Amy to discuss our wedding ideas she was fantastic. She put both myself and my now husband at ease and took away a lot of stress and fears we had and even gave us some good ideas aswell as advising us on certain things which we found extremely helpful. The Lake at Barston is a stunning place and the room on our day was dressed exactly how we imagined. All the staff were very professional and dressed smartly. Unfortunately on our wedding day Amy was really poorly with covid so was unable to run our day as planned which terrified me, however she passed the reigns to Laura (another member of staff who we had met) and assured us she would be great, which she was, she made our day just perfect. The food was outstanding as usual, both the daytime wedding breakfast and our evening buffet. Everyone commented how lovely the food and the venue was and the grounds for the photos. All in all I cannot thank Amy and her team enough for giving us THE most perfect Wedding day.

From start to finish, the amazing team at The lake at Barston were phenomenal! Amy, our wedding coordinator was absolutely brilliant, she went through every last detail with us all the way through with so much care and attention and she was so knowledgeable, offering ideas and helping us to achieve our vision. Nothing was ever too much and she went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect! The staff at the venue are all so kind and friendly and our guests all commented on how amazing the service was. The views at the venue are second to none and it was a huge talking point when reminiscing about the day. Amy and the team are truly amazing and we had a our dream wedding day, everything was perfect and we can’t thank the team enough. We would absolutely encourage anyone looking for a venue to get married here as it won’t disappoint! Thank you again Amy and the team!

We booked our wedding reception to be held at The Lake at Barston in January 22. Our wedding day was everything we could have possibly wanted and more! From booking the Reception up until our wedding day, the whole process was perfect! Amy the wedding co ordinator was incredible. She made all of our wishes and dreams come true! Nothing was ever too much of an ask. I highly recommend The Lake at Barston to anyone looking to book their wedding. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue with such lovely staff members.

Our wedding was literally the best day of our lives, the venue was amazing, the food was amazing and we couldn’t have done it without Amy. She is the best wedding planner, she put us at ease as none of us had any idea what we were doing, she had so many ideas for us, and nothing was too much trouble for her. It was a pleasure to go in and see her to make more plans and on the wedding day she worked so hard to make it perfect. We both fell in love with her and she was such a massive part of our day, I can’t say enough nice things about this perfect human, I’d recommend this venue to anyone xx
