Great Torrington and Bideford Wedding Fairs return this Autumn. Couples planning to tie the knot are being invited to find out how to make their day extra special at two upcoming wedding fairs. Wedding suppliers will be attending the Great Torrington Wedding Fair at Great Torrington Town Hall on Sunday 6th October and Bideford Wedding Fair at Bideford Pannier Market on Sunday 24th November - both events run from 10am until 3pm. The event will feature a catwalk show coordinated by Devon Air Ambulance at 1pm. The charity will be showcasing their preloved wedding gowns available to try and buy on the day. Jamie Craner, from Devon Air Ambulance, said: "When most people think of second-hand bridal they may think that choice and range will he lacking. "This is definitely not the case with the new to you range of pre-loved wedding dresses at Devon Air Ambulance's Bideford shop. "Many brides choose to resell their wedding dresses or donate them to a good cause as it's simply not practical to store them long term. As a society, we don't tend to keep things for very long and though, historically, a wedding dress was something treasured for a lifetime, wedding dresses that are being stored on top of wardrobes or in the loft deserve another chance to shine. "Thanks to many kind donors across Devon, there, are lots of beautiful pre-loved wedding gowns to select from at Devon Air Ambulance's Bideford store. Whether it is a 1950s tea dress, a modern fishtail gown or something full and flowing from a fairy-tale,brides-to-be will find gowns across a range of sizes.’’ This is a free entry event - donations are welcome and all donations collected will go the air ambulance. Working together with Eastbourne Council and the Theatres Team we are pleased to announce that the Show will incorporate the Shackelton and Mallory Halls, the WInter Garden, the Gold Room and a new Vehicle Display area. We will be presenting full Bridal Fashion Shows, professionally produced by a London Agency, in the WInter Garden during the Show, and, following great feedback from the 2024 Show, we will again be presenting an Entertainment showcase with a vast variety of acts and performers throughout the weekend. The Show is FREE ENTRY, and there is easy local free parking around the site.
