About The Great Barn Devon
The Great Barn is a breathtakingly beautiful 15th Century barn venue (with its impressive 45 foot high ceilings) located about 8 miles outside of Exeter on the edge of Dartmoor.

It is a beautiful, exclusive-use wedding venue, set in the grounds of a private estate, offering weekend weddings from Friday-Sunday, and occasional midweek weddings if desired.

It has a capacity of 250 (plus 70 in the adjoining round house) when standing; a capacity of 168 sitting at round tables, and 198 at long tables. Also available on site is luxurious accommodation for up to 30 guests in a variety of stylishly renovated stone cottages.

What an amazing and beautiful venue! We had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and I would do it all over again. The venue is so gorgeous, the cottages are lovely and homely and the staff are friendly, welcoming and such wonderful people. John and Emma made our day so special we were sad to leave on the Sunday. Without question the Great Barn is the best and most beautiful wedding venue we have ever been to. The moment we walked in , it was deal done. All I would say is that no photo can do the barn justice!
We got married in September 2023.
The whole weekend from start to finish was impeccable.
John, Emma, Suzie, Tom and the entire team were just phenomenal. They could not have been more helpful, professional and attentive. Every little detail is thought about and it took a lot of stress off us before and on the big day.
Liaising with Suzie in the run up was so helpful, she always responded so quickly and nothing was too much to ask.
Could not recommend this venue more, there really isn't a single thing we would have changed about our wedding weekend other than wishing we could do it all again!
An absolute flawless 10/10.
